ANF Multan foils bid to smuggle 3kgs heroin to Saudi Arabia

MULTAN: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled an attempt to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia and arrested a passenger at the Multan International Airport.

According to details, Mumtaz, a resident of Gujranwala, was arrested when he was trying to leave for Jeddah through local airline at Multan International Airport. He was carrying three kilograms of heroin worth millions of rupees. He packed heroine in secret portions of the suitcase.

Meanwhile, he was intercepted by the Customs authorities when the airport authorities found the baggage suspicious during scanning process. After thorough search of his bag, the authorities found three kilograms of heroin and arrested the accused. The accused was handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). The ANF has lodged an FIR against the accused started investigation.
