TUCSON: Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a Douglas resident at the Raul Hector Castro Port of Douglas involving the seizure of more than 133 pounds of marijuana.
Officers arrested Jonathan Rafael Melgoza, 18, on Dec. 5 after an inspection of his Chevrolet SUV led to the discovery of more than 100 packages of marijuana, worth nearly $67,000, hidden in the vehicle’s roof.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and turned Melgoza over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
