LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has approved extension in the judicial remand of accused Gul Muhammad who is allegedly involved in a smuggling case.
According to details, Gull Muhammad was arrested by the Excise officials when he was trying to produce fake documents in Excise Motor Branch at Fareed Court House Lahore.
He was trying to register his vehicle on bogus documents while Excise and Taxation Officer found the record of the purchase of vehicle suspicious. During investigations, he failed to satisfy the Excise officers after which they arrest him on the spot and handed him over to the Customs authorities.
Three vehicles were recovered from his possession worth millions of rupees. Now Customs Court has extended his judicial remand and send him to jail for further trial.
