Faisalabad Excise generates Rs 8.5m cotton fee in five months

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation collected Rs 8.544 million as cotton fee during first five months (July-November) of current fiscal year 2015-16 by achieving 37 percent of the assigned target for the year.

The government has assigned Rs 23.3 million target to the Faisalabad region in wake of cotton fee.

The excise has collected Rs 2.238 million as cotton fee from Faisalabad region against the yearly target of Rs 3.57 million, which has been achieved by 63 percent so far.

The Jhang Excise collected Rs 952,000 by marking 25 percent achievement of the target that is Rs 3.792 million.

However, the Chiniot Excise collected Rs 409,000 under the head of cotton fee against the assigned target of Rs 866,000 for the year and achieved 47percent of the target.

The Toba Tek Singh Excise collected Rs 4.946 million against the assigned target of Rs 15.071 million for the year and achieved the target by 33 percent.
