FBR directs RTOs to meet target of 1st half of FY 2015-16

LAHORE: Regional Tax Office one and two (RTO-I&II) has speed up their tax recovery campaign to meet the target set for Fiscal Year 2015-16 as Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) directed to generate revenue of Rs 218 billion.

Source told Customs Today that after facing deficit in tax collection FBR has ordered all regional tax offices to speed up tax collection to achieve the target. FBR has collected Rs 1044 billion till November and Rs 218 billion is still required to meet the tax target set for the Fiscal Year 2015-16.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set Rs 3104 billion tax collection target for the year 2015-16 and Rs 1178 billion has been collected in first half of the Fiscal Year 2015-16, whereas Rs 218 billion is still required to achieve the Rs 1390 billion target for the first half of Fiscal Year 2015-16.
