KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) authorities two officials of customs laboratory. Both of these suspended officials were involved in providing false reports of waste material being used for manufacturing of drugs.
Sources of FBR told Customs Today that some importers successfully cleared their 30 consignments with the help of these false reports. Due to their act national kitty bears a loss of millions of rupees. Sources said that FBR warned them to be careful in future and suspended them for three months. Sources told that during process of consignments clearance of waste paper this act came into notice of higher authorities. They decided to take disciplinary action against officials who were involved in this illegal practice.
