Multan Customs Intelligence arrests 9, seizes items worth Rs 6m

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation arrested nine alleged smugglers following the recovery of various non-duty paid items worth Rs 6 million in a coordinated raid with security agency here on Saturday.

According to the details, the Customs Intelligence seized different smuggled items including 49 rolls of cotton cloth, 1165 kg of georgette fabric, 320 CNG (compressed natural gas) cylinders and 180 tyres for light transport vehicle.

The value of confiscated items is estimated at Rs 6 million, while the items have been submitted at regional officer near Rajapur Khanewal road, Multan.
