Customs Tribunal Chairman Ghulam Murtaza leaves for Lahore

ISLAMABAD: After hearing all the enlisted cases at the Customs Appellate Tribunal, Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti on Tuesday left for Lahore.

The chairman had stayed in the capital for couple of days and commenced hearing of over 40 cases in single and division benches. Technical Member Muhammad Nasir had escorted him in special division benches formed to hear the cases.

The chairman, during the tribunal’s course of proceedings, had reserved eight judgments and also dismissed five cases for various reasons.

According to tribunal’s officials, the chairman would not visit the Islamabad office after winter vacations and was likely to return on January 12, 2016.
