Regional Tax Office-I collects Rs 21,712m in first ten days of January

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) has collected Rs 21,712 million during the first ten days of January 2016.

Sources told Customs Today that RTO collected Rs 20,936 million under the head of income tax,  while Rs 764 million as sales tax and Rs 12 million were collected under the head of federal excise duty.

Sources said that the Regional Tax Office-I collected a revenue of Rs 83,375 million during December from which Rs 2,292 million were collected as sales tax and Rs 36 million as the federal excise duty.  The RTO-I collected Rs 96 milion under the head of sales tax during the first ten days of December while Rs 3,924 million were collected as income tax. The RTO-I collected Rs 1,424 million in November 2015.
