Multan Customs to scrutinise record of Ahmad Hassan Textile

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate has issued directions to determine the output and input ratio of Ahmad Hassan Textile to trace misuse of the facility.

According to the details, the Multan Customs will scrutinise the record about Duty Tax Remission of Export (DTRE) facility availed by the textile unit. The said company has been availing the DTRE facility for the last several years after the approved quantity of Staple fibre and other goods for manufacturing furnished goods.

Officials said that the purpose of the investigation is to know whether the company has utilised the imported goods in production or not. They added that the actual quantity of the export items will also be found to detect misappropriation if any.

They further added that if customs found any misappropriation in the determination of the goods, it will form a contravention report against it in order to collect duty/taxes.
