Islamabad High Court adjourns hearing of cases filed against FTO

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned the hearing of cases filed against the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO).

M/s SNS Holdings Limited and M/s Saudi Networkers Services Limited had filed writ petitions against the FTO through Advocate Hafiz Munawar Iqbal and others.  From FTO office, Sayyed Murtaza, an official of the FTO Secretariat, appeared before the court in person.

A single bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq heard the cases and the adjourned until February 17, 2016.

The bench also disposed of couple of writ petitions filed against customs department authorities and directed the appellants, M/s Uch Power Private Limited and M/s Wateen Telecom Limited, to exhaust departmental platform first.
