Customs Tribunal to hear cases of non-duty paid vehicles on Tuesday

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II will hear two cases filed against Model Collectorate Customs Islamabad on Tuesday.

As per details, a single-bench comprising Technical Member Muhammad Nasir Khan will hear the cases filed by Muhammad Usman ul Haq and Zaman ul Haq.

Muhammad Usman ul Haq had filed appeal, 110/CU/IB/2015 against Islamabad Customs praying the tribunal to order for the release of his imported vehicle Toyota Crown. The customs had confiscated the vehicle after finding it non-duty paid.

Zaman ul Haq also had filed appeal, 115/CU/IB/2015, for regaining custody of his Toyota vehicle from Islamabad Customs. This vehicle was also confiscated by customs authorities as the due duty was not paid while importing.

The tribunal bench would the arguments by Advocate, Raja Gulfraz and M Ali Bhatti in the aforementioned cases.
