Deputy Collector ASO Muhammad Ali Malik orders staff to improve performance ‏

MULTAN: Deputy Collector Anti-Smuggling Organization Muhammad Ali Malik has conducted a meeting in Customs House Multan to discuss the current performance of the anti-smuggling staff.

Deputy Collector Muhammad Ali Malik has directed the entire field staff of the organization to perform their duties and assigned task carefully in order to curb smuggling from the region. Superintendent Shahid Noor was also present during the meeting in which Deputy Collector Muhammad Ali Malik introduced new strategy to curb smuggling in the region through effective measures.

Deputy Collector have received clarification about less smuggling cases formed by Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization unit during said period. He advised whole ASO staff to remain vigilant throughout the jurisdiction against smugglers and he will not tolerate any sort of negligence from staff if found.

Effective information and staff commitment required for taking action against smugglers in the region to restraint smuggling in the areas.

Deputy Collector has warned staff on their bad performance during field operations of Customs to battle against smuggling network. Those customs field staff will reshuffled very soon if these officials and staff failed to deliver positive results on assigned tasks.

He warned staff of Anti-Smuggling Organization on their poor performance in the first month so far and directed them that they must improve their performance otherwise they will be transferred to other region to gain better results.

He stressed staff to increase mutual coordination for information sharing against smugglers  with other departments and carried out help of other security agencies in case of any resistance during anti-smuggling activities.
