LAHORE: The two-day event Zameen.com Property Expo 2014 started here the other day at Lahore Expo centre and brought  some of the biggest names of the real estate industry under one roof.

Nayyar Ali Dada, the legendary architect behind some of the most iconic structures in Pakistan, was the chief guest for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Eden Builders (Pvt) Ltd, Royal Residencia, Commoners Sky Gardens, LDA City, New Lahore City, Paragon City, Park Lane Homes, Saigal Estates, Pace Barka, Citi Associates, Safari Estates and DEFCLAREA were some of the exhibitors at the show. Other than that, an array of consultants and experts with in-depth market knowledge and information attended the event and gave free investment advice to visitors on the spot.

A wide-ranging and intensive marketing campaign, which included ad campaigns on national television, radio commercials, billboards and streamers across the city, banners and standees in several educational institutions, successfully created pre-event hype which pulled in tons of people from all walks of life. Participants tried their luck at Zameen.com’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’ throughout the day and took home fabulous prizes. A bloggers’ event added more colour to the Expo and brought in a vibrant lot of young blogging professionals who eagerly participated in various fun activities and competitions for awesome prizes by Samsung and Haier Pakistan. “We are very proud to have organised such an incredibly successful event at such a massive scale,” said Zameen.com CEO Zeeshan Ali Khan.

This is not Zameen.com’s first large-scale exhibition, however. The portal has previously partnered with the government of Pakistan to organise the Pakistan Real Estate Expo (PREEX) 2013. This year as well, it was the only Pakistani company to be selected as the online media partner for the Cityscape Global 2014 exhibition in Dubai, which was the most high-profile international real estate event of the year. Zeeshan Ali Khan believes that the face of the Pakistani property sector is changing dramatically, and at a time when the industry is getting increasingly competitive it is very important for national developers and builders to make their presence felt and build up professional contacts. “The Zameen.com Property Expo 2014 has undoubtedly provided an unmatchable opportunity for local players to establish their brands and work their way to the top of the industry,” he added.
