RTO-II sends notices to 3,000 taxpayers for filing incomplete tax returns

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) has issued more than 3,000 notices to the tax return filers who submitted incomplete documents.

Officials said that a number of tax returns were found incomplete. They added that filers had not attached different documents, including payment details, profit and loss accounts, personal expenditures and other necessary documents.

Now, following the instructions of RTO-II Chief Commissioner Rukhsana Yasmeen, all zones concerned have issued notices to the filers under Section 120(3) of the Income Tax Ordinance.

If tax filers did not respond to the notices, their returns will be considered invalid, the officials added.
