KARACHI: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated 8,000 liters Iranian diesel.
Sources told Customs Today that the ASO team was formed under the supervision of Assistant Collector Aman Ullah comprising Inspector Ghaffar and other members. The team raided near Dadu and seized 8,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel.
The sources further stated that the operation was conducted after receiving credible information and the ASO team has also arrested a smuggler who was identified as Imran Ullah.
It is pertinent to mention here that in previous month the Hyderabad Customs conducted major operations against smugglers and seized more than twenty thousand liters of smuggled Iranian diesel and also destroyed six illegal petrol pumps.
