LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the Environment Department and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries to form a committee and levy tax on factories which are causing pollution in the area.
Sources told Customs Today that Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah issued these directions on the plea filed by a citizen Mohammad Naeem. Sources said that counsel of appellant prayed to court that lot of factories are causing pollution in Lahore, so the Punjab government and hte LCCI should be directed to impose fine on these factories.
