Customs Court issues warrants against directors of Nimra Textiles Mills

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for two suspects in a tax evasion case.

As per details, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue (IR) Faisalabad, while scrutinising the record, found that the directors of Nimra Textile Mills were allegedly involved in tax evasion and registered a case against them. The officials summoned the directors to cooperate in the investigation but they did not appear before the officials.

Later, the officials approached the court seeking arrest warrant against the accused directors where the court after hearing the arguments issued non-bailable warrants.

Special Judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan has issued warrants against Arif Mehmood Qureshi and Muhammad Saqlain, directors of Nimra Textile Mills Sheikhpura road Faisalabad.

It is learnt that both accused are also involved in using fake documents of Ministry of Commerce for taking undue benefits.
