Faisalabad Appraisement collects Rs 782.84 millions in January

FAISALABAD: The Customs Appraisement Branch has collected around Rs 742.84 million, at least 40 percent extra, during the month of January 2016 against the set target of Rs 529.42 millions.

According to the official data available with Customs Today, Rs 152.01 millions were collected under the head of customs duty in January against the set target of Rs 140.14 million while under the head of sales tax the Customs Appraisement collected Rs 566.83 million against the set target of Rs 342.54 million.

Moreover, Rs 23.88 million  were collected under the head of income tax in January. The customs appraisement collected Rs 0.12 million as federal Excise duty against set target of Rs 7.39 million.

Sources said that Customs Faisalabad already send notices to a number of tax defaulters in recent months to increase tax collections.
