MULTAN: Customs Anti-smuggling Organization has seized 100 rolls of smuggled imported art silk cloth in during an operation.
According to details, Anti-Smuggling Organization have raided a warehouse near Chowk Maitla and confiscated 100 rolls of foreign origin cloth after receiving credible information that a cloth supplier is delivering non-duty paid imported cloth to local traders.
Inspector Abdul Samad has carried out operation against smuggling of cloth. Customs team contacted the accused for the purchase of foreign origin cloth and to capture him and took non-customs paid cloth from his possession.
The said owner of the cloth was asked to provide cloth in bulk quantity but he told that he can provide only 100 rolls (thans). Accused owner failed to bring any supporting documents to prove import of cloth. Customs took all cloth into their custody and then seized them after verifying it.
