Multan RTO campaigning to make tax compliance scheme successful

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has assigned target to the Regional Tax Office (RTO), Multan for the collection of 84,000 tax returns from non-filers in wake of Voluntarily Tax Compliance Scheme.

Government of Pakistan has introduced tax amnesty scheme recently to bring non-filers into the tax net. The purpose of the scheme is to increase the revenue collection by luring the non-payers.

The Multan RTO has started a campaign to create awareness among the traders regarding the newly introduced tax relief scheme by making teams.

As per FBR’s instructions, the teams have been developing contacts with the business community and non-filers to aware them that how it would be proved beneficial for them once after getting register with the FBR.

The teams comprising Inland Revenue (IR) officers and lower staff of audit, withholding tax and tax facilitation departments of special zone are participating in the campaign.

To highlight the significance of tax relief scheme, various banners and posters containing different messages to attract the traders have been hanged on the walls of RTO building.
