KARACHI: Excise and Taxation Department Sindh motor vehicle branch started crackdown against token tax defaulter vehicles.
Motor Branch Incharge Saleem Soomro told Customs Today that the campaign has been started on the instructions of Sindh Minister for Excise Gyanchand Esrani. He said that the campaign will continue for three days and the excise team imposed fine on 66 vehicles during the first day of the campaign.
He said that besides imposing fines the excise teams have also taken measure to create awareness about importance of token tax among the general public. He said that reasonable revenue will be generated through the campaign.
