Adjudication soon to issue 60 ONOs in pilferage of Afghan Transit Trade cargo scam

KARACHI: The Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I is going to issue Order-in-Original (ONOs) in pilferage of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) cargo in next few days, it is learnt here.

The sources in Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I has informed Customs Today that six ONOs against those importers, who deal in ATT cargo are to be issued in upcoming days.

“A draft of those ONOs has been prepared by the office of the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I,” sources added.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Directorate of Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) was seized seven pilferage NATO/ISAF containers and registered the cases accordingly some six months ago.

The cases were first forwarded to the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II and then those cases were forwarded to the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I, where the former Collector of the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I Wasif Memon was issued an ONO while remaining six ONOs would to be released in the current week.

The pilferage NATO/ISAF containers were containing items including machinery, automobiles parts, generators and other accessories.
