Customs ASO detains Rs 20 million smuggled items

LAHORE: Customs Anti- Smuggling Lahore seized Rs 20 million smuggled goods and articles from Manga Mandi,  sources told Customs Today on Tuesday.

According to details the Anti-Narcotics Force intercepted the trucks loaded with contraband goods. The ASO took the possession of the trucks from ANF and brought them Lahore.

The sources said that the trucks were dumped with imported cloths, electrical sewing machines, tyres and 268 cartons of cigarettes.

However, the sources said that owners were having GDs of all the goods except cigarettes.  Sources said that cigarettes will be seized while all other items will be released.
