Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II rejects tax reference

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II on Wednesday dismissed a tax reference filed against Collectorate of Customs, Islamabad.

Customs Appellate Tribunal’s Member Judicial Muhammad Maqsood ul Hassan also adjourned the hearing of four tax references till different dates.

According to details, a tax reference field by appellant, Tayyab, was dismissed for non-prosecution as the appellant was not pursuing the case despite several calls by the tribunal.

Other than that, the tribunal adjourned hearing of cases filed by M/s Cotect International, M/s Shakir Manzoor, Farhad Khan till March 22. Appellants had challenged Customs Collectorate, Islamabad’s decisions in the said petitions.

Hearing of another case filed by Sajid Qayum was dated in office. Sajid Qayum had challenged decision of Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation, Islamabad.
