Pakistan Coast Guards seize 11,000 liters Iranian diesel worth Rs 2.3m

KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guards has seized 11,000 liters Iranian diesel worth Rs 2.3 million near Northern Bypass.

According to details, on information from intelligence about the smuggling of petroleum products from Northern Bypass, a special mobile team was detailed for snap checking.

During the process of checking at Northern Bypass near RCD Highway, a suspicious Hino truck was spotted. The vehicle was checked by PCG officials and recovered 11,000 liters of Iranian diesel from the truck.

The official took into custody the Hino truck and the diesel along with two smugglers. The approximate value of Iranian diesel and vehicle in market is Rs 2.3 million. Further investigation and legal process is underway.
