Currency smuggling of Rs 20m:Customs Court to announce verdict on February 23

LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has concluded the hearing of a case pertaining to the smuggling of Rs 20 million. Earlier, the decision was expected to be announced on February 18 but Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan reserved the decision for February 23.

According to details, the Customs investigation and prosecution has completed interim challan against the suspect which was submitted before the court. The Special court of Customs Taxation and Anti Smuggling has completed all proceedings after hearing arguments from both sides. The Customs Court has also recorded the statements of witnesses.
