Bahawalpur RTO collects Rs 9.55m through 32 returns till 25th

BAHAWALPUR: The Regional Tax Office, Bahawalpur, has generated a sum of Rs 9.552 million through 32 returns till February 25 since the launch of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme for traders.

The same RTO collected Rs 35,62,000 from 10 returns by February 19 and Rs 35,00,000 from seven returns, which were to be deposited by Feb 22.

Meanwhile, the RTO arranged a seminar to create awareness and understanding of Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) among the traders and business community.

Chief Commissioner Ghazanfar Hussain along with Commissioner (Zone-I) Rajabuddin, Additional Commissioner Ghulam Sarwar Shah, Additional Commissioner Abdul Sattar, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Akhtar Suraj and other officers participated in the seminar.

All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran Pakistan Patron-in-Chief Khawaja Muhammad Shafique, Muttahida Anjuman-e-Tajran Bahawalpur President Tariq Abbasi, Anjuman-e-Tajran Bahawalpur City President Hafiz Muhammad Younis, presidents of all Tehsils of Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar along with a large number of traders attended the seminar.

Moreover, Peshawar RTO generated Rs 301,440 through two returns till February 25.
