Faisalabad: RTO zone-III of Commissioner Aftab Alam collects Rs 61.2m in three weeks

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-III of the Federal Board of Revenue has collected Rs 61.21 million under the head of sales tax during the first three weeks of February of the current fiscal year.

As per details, its current collection stands at Rs 54.90 million, while it has recovered Rs 6.27 million arrears during the period, Zone-III Commissioner Aftab Alam said.

He added that unit-I of the zone has collected Rs 33.1 million, unit-II Rs 18.87 million, unit-III Rs 1.82, while unit-IV has collected Rs 1.11 million.

He further said that Rs 6.27 million, which were recovered in shape of arrears, has been collected by all units of the zone. He added that unit-I collected Rs 4.05 million, unit-II Rs 2.05 million and the unit-III collected Rs 160,000 during the said period.

Responding to a question, Commissioner Aftab Alam said that department was striving to collect taxes and outstanding amounts from the taxpayers in order to meet the assigned annual target by the end of running fiscal year.
