LCCI delegation leaves for Iran to explore trade, investment opportunities

LAHORE: A delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) left for 7-day visit to Islamic Republic of Iran to explore trade and investment opportunities and possibilities of joint ventures between the private sectors of both countries.

LCCI Senior Vice President Almas Hyder is leading the delegation while other members are Kamal Mahmood Amjad Mian, Tariq Mahmood, Muhammad Ibrahim, Hasnain Reza Mirza, Ariful Islam, Khurram Hussain, Mushtaq Ali Khan, Shahid Mahmood, Fazal-ur-Rehman, Tanveer Karamat, Muhammad Usman Sheikh, Shafiq Ahmad Abbasi, Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Mohammed Idrees, Moazzam Rasheed, Muhammad Akram Sheikh, Mujahid Ali Sheikh, Ahsan Tariq, Jahanzeb Aziz Khan Sherwani, Naveed Hussain, Rana Muhammad Shakil, Ghulam Nabi and Hassan Raza.

On February 27, the delegation will visit Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines and will have meeting with Director General of Asia and Oceania, Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ali Asghar Farshchi. On February 28th, delegation will visit QOM Free Zone and will meet Cultural Institute, Tehran President Iftikhar Hussain Arif. On February 29th, the delegation will visit Shiraz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agricultural and have B-2-B meetings with the Iranian businessmen. On March 01, the delegation will visit Mashhad Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines and also attend a dinner hosted in honor of the delegation. On March 2nd, the delegation will visit Maghsoud Group of Companies, Permanent Exhibition Centre, Central Museum of Haram and attend a business lunch. The delegation will also visit industrial zones and office of the trade and industrial associations in Iran.

LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad and Vice President Nasir Saeed hoped that visit of the delegation will not only bring Pakistani and Iranian businessmen closer but would also open doors for joint ventures.
