FIA arrests three currency smugglers from Sialkot International Airport

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three currency smugglers and seized nearly Rs 37.3 million worth of different currencies at Sialkot International Airport.

Sources told Customs Today that the FIA officials have recovered 0.18 million Euros and 58,000 Dirhams from the possession of a passenger namely Irfan Altaf son of Altaf Hussain, who was going to Sharjah on Air Arabia flight no G9552.

The accused passenger was offloaded from the plane and taken into custody. Furthermore, on revelation of the accused passenger, two companions namely Imran Khan and Adnan Afzal were also arrested from parking area of the airport.
