Another reason behind the ban on import of these vegetables is that Indian farmers and middle men are washing these vegetables with dangerous chemicals, which is very harmful for human health.

Plant Protection Department of the Food and Agriculture Ministry is very vigilant and keeping eyes on vegetables being imported from India through Land Freight Unit Wagha.

Meanwhile due to ban on these two vegetables, trade has slow down between two neighboring countries especially imports from India are reached at lowest in the current fiscal year sources told customs today.

On other hand Pakistani exports to India are stands almost at same mark and Pakistani is exporting cement, Gypsum and glass on normal routine.
