KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has instructed the Large Taxpayers Unit LTU-I and all the Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to take stern action against ghost employees.
According to sources, the FBR forwarded letters to the LTU and Commissioners of RTOs to identify the ghost employees and expel them from their services as soon as possible. The ghost officials are drawing salaries from the budget without performing their duties, sources added.
The sources added that the LTU and RTOs have started preparing list of ghost employees who are drawing salaries without attending and performing their duties since long.
