KARACHI: Large Taxpayers Unit started strict action against those textile companies who are involved in tax evasion.
Sources informed Customs Today that in connection with on-going campaign against tax defaulters LTU issued final notice to Magna Textile Mills. The mill is involved in tax evasion of Rs 135.6 million. LTU issued this notice vide Sales Tax Act Section (3) 11 and Section (37)2. Sources said that LTU take this step after scrutinizing all the sales and refund record of above said mills.
Sources said that Magna Textile Mills also involved in selling of goods to those companies which are already declared as “black list” by FBR.
