MULTAN: Examination report of 17 vehicles, sent by the Forensic Laboratory to the Anti-Smuggling Organization, has confirmed that chassis numbers of two vehicles were tampered while 15 others were registered on fake documents.
The forensic examination of the vehicles was conducted on the recommendation of the Customs Collectorate. The vehicles were seized in various operations by the Anti-Smuggling Organization.
After thorough scrutiny of the seized vehicle by forensic experts, it was confirmed that chassis numbers of two vehicles were tampered and documents of the remaining vehicle were fake.
The Customs will auction the vehicles having forged documents while the vehicles having tampered chassis numbers will not be auctioned. Sources said that such vehicles will be either dismantled or sold to the government departments.
