Sialkot FIA arrests seven human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has tightened its noose around the neck of human traffickers, their agents and sub-agents , as special teams of the FIA have arrested as many as seven notorious human traffickers-turned-proclaimed offenders (POs) during the ongoing crackdown against them in Gujranwala Division.

FIA Gujranwala Division Deputy Director Ch Khalid Anees told Customs Today that the FIA has arrested notorious human traffickers Malik Tanveer (Noshera Virkan) , Muhammad Akbar( Narowal), Fahad Farooq (Gujranwala), Rashid Mehmood (Hafizabad) , Muhammad Shafiq (Gujrat) Sajjad Naseem (Kharian) and Majid Khalid (Sialkot).

He said that the accused had been involved in sending innocent people abroad illegally, especially to the European, African and Middle East countries.

He revealed that the FIA teams have also recovered several passports, fake official documents, visa stickers, fake stamps, fake medical certificates , national and foreign currencies and embossing machines from these accused. FIA has sent the accused behind after registering separate cases against them. Further investigations are underway, in this regard.
