Customs, IT chiefs assigned task to handle social media matters

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) assigned task to Customs chief and IT chief to handle the social media matters. This job will be part of their service.

It is learnt that both the chiefs will be responsible for FRB’s website and its official pages on Twitter and Facebook, the social interactive sites.

FBR had launched its Twitter and Facebook pages last year and it has grabbed hundreds of relevant online traffic. The people who want to get information by FBR; they can send their queries through Facebook and Twitter regarding the tax matters.

Business community believed that this initiative will be helpful for tax filers and for the people who are living abroad as well. Business community demands that these websites must be in working round the week as the people who are living abroad have different time zone.
