Appraisement-East collects Rs 12.33bn from Nov 1-20

KARACHI: The Model Collectorate of Appraisement-East collected revenue worth Rs 12.33 billion during the first 20 days of the current month.

The collectorate collected Rs 3,493 million under the head of customs duty; Rs 6,671 million sales tax, Rs 2,092 million withholding tax and Rs 75 million federal excise duty.

The Federal Board of Revenue has given Rs 18.05 billion target to the collectorate for November. Now Rs 5.7 billion remains to be collected during the remaining 10 days.

Rs 18.05 billion target for November include Rs 4.78 billion customs duty of which Rs 3,493 million has already been collected during the first 20 days. Similarly, the sales tax target for the month is Rs 10.22 billion of which Rs 6.67 billion has been collected during November 1-20 while withholding tax and federal excise duty targets are Rs 2.97 billion and Rs 64.27 million respectively of which Rs 2.09 billion and Rs 75 million have already been collected. This shows that the collectorate has already surpassed Rs 64.27 million FED target by Rs 10.73 million during the first 20 days of November.
