FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 10.116 million under the head of cotton fee during the first eight months of the current fiscal year and achieved its annual target up to 43 percent.
It collected Rs 2.655 from Faisalabad against the assigned target of Rs 3.570, which has been achieved about 74 percent, while it generated Rs 1.045 million from Jhang as cotton fee against the assigned target of Rs 3.792 million, achieving by 28 percent.
The department collected Rs 428,000 against the target of Rs 866,000 by achieving the target of 49 percent from Jhang. It also collected Rs 5.988 million against the target of Rs 15.071 million from Toba Tek Sing and achieved the target up to 40 percent.
