Quetta Customs Intelligence impounds 3 smuggled vehicles

KARACHI: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Quetta, has impounded three non-duty paid vehicles and two chassis frames, besides impounding a Mazda Truck being used for the transportation of the smuggled vehicles.

The officials said that smugglers were trying to shift vehicles from Afghanistan to Karachi through Chaman , which has been foiled successfully saving the national exchequer.

They added that the truck was intercepted on a road for checking, which led to the recovery of three vehicles and two chassis frames. The officials asked the driver and his helper to show documents regarding the legal import or lawful possession of the items but they remained failed.

Therefore, the Customs Intelligence impounded the recovered items and arrested the both accused persons, while further investigation is underway.
