Customs Collector Dr Asif Jah given Sitara-e–Imtiaz

LAHORE: President Mamnoon Hussain gave away National Civil Award, Sitara-e-Imtiaz to Lahore Customs Appeals Collector Dr Asif Mahmood Jah at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad in the category of valuable social services.

Jah has been given the prestigious national award on the occasion of March 23 for his landmark services under the banner of Customs Healthcare Society of Pakistan to the ailing humanity across the country.

Besides performing excellent professionally, Jah has treated millions of needy and deserving patients in the calamity-hit areas of the country.

He has been serving the needy and downtrodden strata of the society for the last 23 years in addition to giving his full time to his government job.

In any part of the country, Dr Jah has remained in the forefront where natural deserters played havoc.

Presently, Jah is undertaking rehabilitating activities in areas of Shanglah and Chitral that were hit hard by the earthquake. He has constructed a number of houses, schools, hospitals and wells in the quake hit areas for the rehabilitation of inhabitants 20 book on various topics. Allah Kaba and Banda is one of his fine works.

He has also done relief works for the IDPs of Bannu and Waziristan. Dr Jah told Customs Today that besides his professional responsibilities, he is devoted to undertake rehabilitation works for the people in disaster hit areas anywhere anytime.

He thanked his team, friends and family members for their support and assistance.
