Gujranwala Excise Director Shakeel for expediting tax recovery

SIALKOT: Excise and Taxation Department, Gujranwala Director Rao Shakeel-Ur-Rehman has allocated recovery target of Rs 2.7 billion to subordinates.

The director made eight teams to recover taxes in six districts of Gujranwala Region, including Gujranwala, Sialkot, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahhauddin, Narowal and Gujrat. He has instructed all recovery staff to expedite the process of recovery from defaulters.

However, the teams have started recovery process from defaulter. The director has instructed the officials to seal the properties of tax defaulters and impound the other relevant items to recover the taxes.

The teams were also directed to arrest the tax defaulters and lodged cases against them.
