Multan Customs collects Rs 11,275.387m taxes till March 22

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has generated Rs 11,275.387 million so far in wake of taxes during the third quarter of the financial year 2015-16.

According to statistics, Rs 2,556.05 million were collected under the head of customs duty against the assigned target of Rs 11,040 .664 million during the on-going third quarter so far. The Multan Customs has collected Rs 7,216.57 million as sales tax during the current quarter.

The revenue collection of federal excise duty has been exceeded from the set target. About Rs 65.804 million of federal excise duty has been generated so far in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2015-16. The Customs has collected major amount of federal excise duty in February due to extra ordinary import movement of HSD and RBD palm oil from Multan Dry Port.

As far as income tax collection, Multan Customs generated Rs 112.655 million up to 22nd March against the fixed target of Rs 95.25 million during the financial year 2015-16.  Multan Customs is showing 14 % growth in the revenue generation of the economic year 2015-16 due to well-organized administration of the Customs high ups in the decisions making.
