Customs Appraisement West asks for details of pending cases before courts

KARACHI: Collector, Customs Collectorate Appraisement West has sought a report containing details of cases pending with the adjudication collectorate, tribunal, Sindh High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan.

According to sources, Collector Appraisement West Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi (look after charge) has asked the Collectorate to furnish details of status of cases pending with the adjudication collectorate, collector appeals, appellate tribunal, high court and supreme court R&D cases and audit paras (both and internal).

Furthermore, the Collector has also called for current status of total number of cases and amount involved, number of cases settled and amount involved so that measures could be taken for early decision of the cases. Besides, measures would also be taken to improve performance of the Legal Section of the Customs Appraisement West.
