Customs Appraisement revenue collection up 25pc

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Preventive has collected Rs 46,495 million revenue, registering a growth of 25 percent until April 9, 2016.

According to data, the collectorate collected Rs 15,778 registering growth of 19 percent against the collection of last financial year.

The collectorate collected Rs 25,808 million sales tax, showing an improvement of 16 percent in sales tax collection against the same period last year while the collectoarte registered 36 percent growth in collecting income tax by collecting Rs 4,783 million during the period under review. The collectorate, however, collected Rs 126.40 million federal excise duty during the period under review against Rs 127 million during the same period of the last financial year.

Overall the collectoarte has maintained growth of 25 percent by collecting Rs 46495 million revenues from all the establishments including Lahore Dry Port, Prem Nagar and other stations
