FBR issues notices to 145 officers of PITB for payment of taxes

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue has issued notices to 145 senior officers of the Punjab Information Technology Board due to non-submission of tax returns.

Sources told Customs Today that Assistant Commissioner of Regional Tax Office-II Akbar Mayo issued these notices, asking them to submit their tax returns and details of their assets at the earliest to avoid further action.

The FBR has issued notices to Principal Software Engineer Farhan Ali, Divisional Information Technology Coordinator Abdul Rauf, Senior Software Engineer Shahzad Ahmad Butt, Network Engineer Saqib Javed and Faisal Safdar.

Sources told Customs Today that all officers have failed to submit their income tax returns and asset details before the Federal Board of Revenue even they are earning reasonable amounts as salaries.

The other officers, Project Coordinator Sana Zaheer, Director Administration Hammad Hassan and Faisal Ahmad, are also included whom the FBR has served notices.
