LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 cases which were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas and statements of the witnesses, on Friday.
The cases, which were scheduled for hearing included tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. Court issued arrest warrants for Muhammad Akram who is involved in smuggling..
The court also directed the Customs authorities to arrest him and produce him before the court on next hearing. The Customs Court adjourned the pre arrest bail plea of Muhammad Asghar in tax evasion case.
A case of narcotics smuggling against Saleem Khan was also adjourned. He was allegedly involved in smuggling of drugs. The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on three different cases on the day.
