FBR decides to ‘blacklist’ 55 companies for failing to file sales tax returns

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to ‘blacklist’ 55 companies in Karachi.

Sources informed Customs Today that the Regional Tax Office approached the FBR in the third week of March, asking it to declare these companies as ‘blacklisted’. The RTO provided all the relevant details in this regard.

Sources said that all these companies were operating under forged names, among them there were ten companies which have not filed their sales tax returns from last ten months. The RTO issued them many notices but they failed to deposit sales tax amount.

The companies include Chand Samna Enterprises, Shama Textile Lmited, Hoon Moon Garments, Nadeem and Sons, Mirza Chemicals, Najam Ashfaq Chemicals, Haroon Knitwear, Carlos Point, Grant Export, Mujahid Hosiery, Shamim Enterprises, Nabeel Junaid and Sons, Invex Sanitary, Max and Company and others.
