During the coming summer, generation capacity is expected at 85 percent against 60 percent in 2013, the statement added.

The loadshedding duration on average has witnessed a 50 percent decline as compared to year 2013 and will continue to decline more after peak summer months. The areas where ratio of recoveries is satisfactory and losses are in limits, there will be predictable and planned power outages.
