Customs intelligence impounds 40 non duty paid LEDs

LAHORE: A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized 40 non-customs paid LEDs from a loader near Band Road.

Sources told Customs Today that on the information of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director Saud Imran Ahmad, the team intercepted a container loaded with illegal LEDs.

It was reportedly that these LEDs were to be supplied to traders in Hall Road. However, the successful operation by the customs authorities under supervision of Superintendent Malik Yasin, Inspector Zulfiqar and others confiscated the LEDs and arrested the accused who hailed from Peshawar.

The sources said that the total value of LEDs has been determined at Rs 2 million. A case has been registered against the accused persons while further investigations are underway.
